Abstract
Compounds of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein Z.sup.1 and Z.sup.2 are each independently --O--, --S-- or --NR.sup.5 -- in which R.sup.5 is hydrogen, an optionally substituted hydrocarbon group or an acyl group; X.sup.1 and X.sup.2 are selected from hydrogen, halogen, cyano, C.sub.1-4 alkyl, C.sub.1-4 alkoxy, aryl, carbamoyl, sulphamoyl, carboxy or carboxylic acid ester; R.sup.1 is an optionally substituted aryl radical; A is an optionally substituted alkyl radical or a radical of the formula: R.sup.2 --(CH.dbd.CH).sub.n -- in which R.sup.2 is an optionally substituted aryl or heterocyclic radical, and n has a value of 1 or 2. The compounds are useful as dyes for synthetic textile materials.

Claims
I claim:

1. A compound of the formula:

wherein

X.sup.1 and X.sup.2 are selected from hydrogen, halogen, cyano, C.sub.1-4 -alkyl, C.sub.1-4 -alkoxy, phenyl, --CONL.sup.1 L.sub.2, --SO.sub.2 NL.sup.1 L.sup.2, --COOL.sup.3 and substituted C.sub.1-4 -alkyl, C.sub.1-4 -alkoxy and phenyl in which the substitutents are selected from hydroxy, halogen, nitro, C.sub.1-4 -alkyl and C.sub.1-4 -alkoxy;

L.sup.1, L.sup.2 and L.sup.3 are selected from hydrogen, C.sub.1-4 -alkyl and phenyl;

R.sup.1 is selected from naphthyl, phenyl and substituted phenyl in which the substituents are selected from halogen, hydroxy, C.sub.1-4 -alkoxy, C.sub.2-4 -alkenyloxy, C.sub.1-4 alkylthio, thiol, and primary amino;

Description
This invention relates to hetero-polycyclic aromatic compounds, to a method for their preparation and to their use in the coloration of textile materials.

According to the invention, there are provided compounds of the general formula: ##STR2## wherein Z.sup.1 and Z.sup.2 are each independently --O--, --S-- or --NR.sup.5 -- in which R.sup.5 is hydrogen, an optionally substituted hydrocarbon group or an acyl group;

X.sup.1 and X.sup.2 are selected from hydrogen, halogen, cyano, C.sub.1-2 alkyl, C.sub.1-4 alkoxy, aryl, carbamoly, sulphamoyl, carboxy or carboxylic acid ester;

R.sup.1 X.sup.2 are selected from hydrogen, halogen, cyano, C.sub.1-4 alkykl, C.sub.1-4 alkoxy, aryl, carbamoyl, sulphamoyl, R.sup.1 is an optionally substituted aryl radical;

A is an optionally substituted aryl radical or a radical of the formula:

R.sup.2 --(CH.dbd.CH).sub.n -- II

in which

R.sup.2 is an optionally substituted aryl or heterocyclic radical, and

  The mixture of monoazo dyestuffs which contains one or more dyestuffs of the formula I ##STR1## and one or more dyestuffs of the formula II ##STR2## wherein...  A process for redyeing partially bleached fabric or garments to yield sharply-etched multicolored designs comprises the steps of: (a) dyeing the fabric,...
